Our prostheses are made to last, but suitable care can considerably extend their lifespan. Here are our tips.
Daily cleaning
After each removal, gently clean the prosthesis with lukewarm water and a mild soap (neutral pH). Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft cloth without rubbing.
Removing the adhesive
Always use the Probond G608 solvent to remove the adhesive. Never pull the prosthesis off by force, this would damage both the prosthesis and your skin.
Apply the solvent around the edges and wait a few seconds for the adhesive to come away naturally.
Storage
Keep your prosthesis in the box provided, lying flat, away from heat and direct light. Never fold it.
What to avoid
- Abrasive or alcohol-based products
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight
- Contact with chemical solvents
- Excessive heat (oven, very hot baths)
The lifespan
With appropriate care, a The Nipples Lab prosthesis can last several years. It is guaranteed for 1 year against manufacturing defects.
